No Picture?
To allow TV to accept video signal from Notebook or Desktop PC.
Problem:
The PC and TV are connected by a suitable cable and there is no picture.
Solution:
The TV has to be set to receive the picture from an external source (your PC/Notebook) , such as 'SCART1' or 'EXT' or 'AV1' on the TV remote control (If in doubt the TV manual will tell you which connectors are Scart, Ext1 etc )
The PC has to be set to send the external signal . On the Windows desktop click on:
My Computer
then select 'TV out', its usually pretty obvious which setting means TV out , although each video card is different. Pal I or Pal or NTSC needs to be selected depending on which signal type your TV uses. (Pal I for UK). If you dont have a section for TV out then its possible you dont have the correct driver for your particular video card. Visit the card manufacturers website and download an up to date driver.
All a bit complicated??? Confused????, email kevind@computerbase.co.uk
and we will attempt to answer your question.
Note from kevind :,The most common question is 'What cables do i need?' and I cannot answer it unless you tell me:
The connection on the Notebook or PC
The distance you want to go?
The connection on the TV?
Whether you want sound or not?
