Black and white picture ?

The problem is common and  is usually seen when connecting from S-Video to Scart , the reason is because the Scart adapters or S-video to Scart cables do not split the luminance and chrominance signals from the S-video connection and so cause a black and white image to be shown. Another way to describe this is that one of the devices is SVHS and the other is VHS (usually the TV).

There are are a few alternatives to solve this

  1. If you have an older Nvidia chipset on the graphics card then you can download a fix from www.tvtool.de

  2. Buy a complete new cable kit to get around the problem (On our PC to TV Cables page )

  3. Buy new individual cables to solve the problem although this depends on your existing cabling. or email kevind@computerbase.co.uk to advise which ones you need, make sure you advise which cables you have already and which connectors you have on the TV and the PC and the distance you want to go and we will advise which cables you need to purchase.

All a bit complicated??? Confused????, email kevind@computerbase.co.uk
and we will attempt to answer your question.

Note from kevind :,The most common question is  'What cables do i need?' and I cannot answer it unless you tell me:
